DESCRIPTION:\n \n \n Objective of the workshop \n The European Union Location Framework (EULF) aims to improve the integration of location information in e-Government. There are many challenges, but at the same time many valuable initiatives are taking place in the Member States. \n \n The workshop aims at understanding the issues e-Government practitioners face in integrating location into real-world applications and learning from approaches that have worked in some countries in Europe. \n \n The workshop will introduce the EULF which is part of the European Union ISA programme. e-Government practitioners will be invited to explain their experience, the issues they face and how these issues might be addressed. Breakout sessions will allow in-depth discussion on particular topics. \n \n The results of the workshop will be used to revise the EULF Vision document (see http://ec.europa.eu/isa/actions/documents/isa-2.13_eulf-strategic-vision-lite-v0-3_final_en.pdf) and as an input for the EULF Blueprint and Roadmap. \n \n Target public \n eGovernment practitioners and people from the Geographic Information sector. \n \n Organisation \n The workshop is co-organised by the European Commission, Joint Research Centre (Digital Earth & Reference Data Unit) and the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium), with support from EUROGI (European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information). \n \n Registration \n Registration for this event is required and can be done on the EULF Workshop website: http://eulfhu.blogspot.be/p/registration-of-interest.html \n \n   \n \n   \n \n More info : http://www.epractice.eu/en/events/eulf2013 \n \n \n \n   \n
