Annual Belgian Earth Observation day
On 24 November, the STEREO team is organizing its annual Belgian Earth Observation Day (BEODay in for short). As always, STEREO research teams will present their progress, and we will bring you some interesting and important news as well. This year, we might even be popping over the northern border… If you're interested in Earth observation, this is the event for you.
Because of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, this year's meeting will be fully virtual.
Oh, and be sure to put 24 November in your calendars as the date for the BEODay, 2020 edition!

11h15 Coléco : Création d'outils numériques favorisant l'émergence de communautés de voisins se réunissant pour produire et consommer ensemble une énergie locale durable. Permet de mettre en pratique le dernier décret Energie en question.
11h25 Charl-E-District : Plateforme d'aide à la décision à l'échelle du quartier à l'aide d'une base de données énergétique et de capteurs. Projet de la ville de Charleroi, en partenariat avec Cenaero.

Territoire connecté et intelligent :
11h40 Les camions sentinelles : Plateforme de collecte, stockage, traitement et distribution de données à partir de d'un boîtier embarqué avec des capteurs de qualité de l'air, de connectivité, de qualité et encombrement des routes et voiries, etc. dans les camions-poubelles. Est prévue aussi une interface web pour les citoyens et communes. Ainsi qu'une possibilité de crowdsourcing pour consolider les data récoltées par les camions. API Open data. Communes pilotes: Viroinval, Gedinne et Profondeville. Projet du BEP, en partenariat avec IBPT, UNamur et Idelux.
11h50 Des capteurs au service du citoyen : Création d'une smartzone dotée de capteurs lumineux dynamiques (capteurs de présence) et de capteurs de niveau d'eau. Application avec notifications push et alertes aux citoyens. Projet de la commune de Bassenge, en partenariat avec Resa.

The projects will have the possibility of being supported to realize their ideas by becoming incubated of the VentureLab. Once the admissions committee completed, they will be able to benefit from all the tools to create and launch their entrepreneurial project thanks to personalized coaching by experienced entrepreneurs, training, multiple opportunities to develop their professional networ and coworking spaces.
