The ISA² Programme of the European Commission is organising a mid-term conference on 29 November 2018 in Brussels, Belgium. The programme, running from 2016 to 2020, is reaching its midway point and the event will be an opportunity to discuss what has been already achieved, the tasks for the upcoming years and the future of the programme beyond 2020.

A l'occasion de la reconnaissance d'OpenStreetMap Belgique comme un représentant local officiel de la Fondation OpenStreetMap, nous avons pensé qu'il était temps de penser à nouveau à notre organisation. C'est l'heure d'une réunion officielle ! Elle aura lieu le 13 novembre à 19:00.

The Belgian Earth Observation Day (BEODAY) is an annual event where the results of research in the domain of Earth observation, mainly carried out within the framework of the STEREO (Support to Exploitation and Research in Earth Observation) programme, are presented and where the Belgian remote sensing community has ample opportunity to meet and network. Researchers as well as people working in private companies and administrations are welcome to attend. Normally, the STEREO team organises one BEODAY a year, but we liked the January 2018 so much that we decided to have another one later this year. Instead of Beersel, we will be heading south to Barvaux-Condroz. This time, the focus will be on the results of STEREO projects that finished earlier this year or are soon to end. In addition we will have live demonstrations of our new website and the TERRASCOPE portal.

Séminaire Smart Governance: La puissance de la donnée au service des territoires

Le 7 novembre prochain, FuturoCité tiendra son deuxième séminaire Smart Governance avec pour thématique cette année la culture de la donnée, sujet central dans le développement d’une Smart Région en Wallonie et en lien avec la stratégie Digital Wallonia. Cet événement fera écho à l’enquête sur la culture de la donnée menée auprès de l’ensemble de villes et communes wallonnes dès le 28 mai 2018 et destinée à évaluer la culture de la donnée autour des 4 axes suivants: la gouvernance de la donnée, la mise en application du RGPD, l’open data et l’exploitation des données. 112 communes ont répondu au questionnaire, soit 43% des villes et communes wallonnes y ont répondu, signe d’un certain intérêt de leur part en la matière. Les premiers résultats de l’enquête ont été dévoilés lors du congrès-salon Smart City Wallonia du 25 septembre. L’enquête détaillée ainsi que le résumé visuel des résultats sont disponibles sur notre site.
